Target: Political leaders participating in COP15 and COP26

Two UN conferences, one opportunity
for Catholics worldwide to listen to Pope Francis and act out our faith.

We have an opportunity like no other. At the UN Biodiversity Conference (COP15) in October, world leaders can set meaningful targets to protect creation. In November, at the 26th UN Climate Change Conference (COP26), countries will announce their plans to meet the goals of the Paris agreement. Ahead of those meetings, it is our responsibility as Catholics to lift up the voices of the most vulnerable and advocate on their behalf. We must act now.

St. Ciarán's Church - Vacancy



Maintenance Support Worker (Tús Scheme)

Main Duties:

  • Support to Sacristan in Managing the Church
  • Assisting Caretaker in Maintenance of grounds around the Church
  • Helping with Administration


Eligibility:

To be eligible to participate in the Tús Scheme, you must:

  • Be available 19.5 hours per week for 1 year
  • Have been continuously unemployed for at least 12 months and 'signing on' on a full-time basis; and
  • Have been receiving a jobseeker's payment (Jobseeker's Benefit or Jobseeker's Allowance) from the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection for at least 12 months; and
  • Be currently receiving Jobseeker's Allowance (JA)

Note: If you are getting JA and have break(s) of up to 30 days in your jobseekers record over the last 12 months, you will be eligible for Tús.

Meeting in Hartstown Church at 10.00am Home approx. 5.00pm

The day will include a walk in Howth, coffee break, and visit to the cemetery. 

Lunch in Sutton Parish Centre followed by Service of Remembrance

 (Please bring food and we can all share)

(You may wish to bring Memory Cards, Photographs, or special mementoes for this service)
