Invitation to receive Holy Communion

In our present circumstances, we cannot be present in the church and people have expressed their sadness that they cannot receive Holy Communion.

Therefore, each Sunday after you have taken part in the Mass (via the Webcam or Radio) I invite you to come to the church to receive Holy Communion (which will be distributed for half an hour after Mass)

Come to the main entrance of the Church and having received Holy Communion, you will be guided to walk slowly through the Church for a moment of prayer and an opportunity to light a candle.

WEEK OF WITNESS

ACN Ireland WEEK OF WITNESS for PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS

Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) is an organisation which aims to highlight the awful persecution of Christians which is going on around the World, including Nigeria.

We have Parishioners from Nigeria who are fearful for their families back home. They are hearing the frightening stories of what is going on in their home country.

What can we do?

A Week of Witness is being organised countrywide, with events happening everyday. The details are are available on https://www.acnireland.org/witness

Here in Hartstown Parish we want to heighten your awareness of the persecution that is happening.

This Wednesday, Nov 25th, our Church will be lit up on the outside in RED. We will also have a Special Mass on Zoom at 11am for ALL Persecuted Christians. Please send your email address or mobile number to Noel on 0872261477 and you will receive an invitation to the mass.

Red Wednesday is an opportunity for the faithful to gather as a community of worshippers to publicly affirm their spiritual union with persecuted Christians, even if in these days this is only possible electronically. You are invited to wear a Red item of clothing on the day.

Alpha Youth Online

To all 4th, 5th & 6th year students and all teens within that age range in the parish, we believe that everyone should have a chance to explore the Christian faith, ask questions and share your point of view. We in the Diocesan Young Church Dublin Team are inviting you to join us for our online ALPHA YOUTH series. Our ALPHA YOUTH series will begin this coming Wednesday 4th November. It is a free 11-session series that will create a space online where you can get together with other young people for that conversation about faith, life and God each week. There is no study or homework involved and participation is purely a choice! It will run on Wednesdays from 6pm -7:30pm via Zoom. You can get a glimpse of ALPHA YOUTH by watching the video at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fyjL4NsAfM .
