Faith & Justice - Information

This week, within our parishes we will turn our thoughts to Lent, a time of sacrifice…

Today, I want to thank you for supporting Trócaire this Lent, and bringing the stories of Awut & Ajak into your hearts.

With schools closed, Parishes small and large across the island have stepped up to help us distribute Trócaire Boxes during a very difficult time. I just want to express my heartfelt gratitude to you – for all the support you give.

I am sharing with you, a small digital “poster” that you can share on your Parish webpage, or social media to let your Parishioners know that the Trócaire box is available. If you wish, we can also add the times that your Church is open, or customise it to suit your arrangements. Just get in touch and we would be happy to help!

DOWNLOAD YOUR POSTER

Please know, that we are so grateful to you for all that you do. Thank you for seeing the struggle of Awut & Ajak, and the struggles of families like them who are doing all they can so they won’t be lost to hunger, poverty, and war. Thank you for opening your heart and hands to help.

With all our gratitude,

Colm & Aislinn
Trócaire

P.S Thank you for standing by us during this most challenging Lent, and for keeping South Sudan in the hearts of your Parishioners this Lent.

Presentation Sisters - Justice Day 2021

On behalf of the Presentation Sisters North East Province’s Justice Commission, I would like to invite you to our 2021 Justice Day which takes place on Saturday the 17th April 2021 at 11am-1.30pm online.

The theme for this year is Racism, Inequality and Inclusion and we have a great line-up of speakers and a panel. Please see invite and speakers’ bios attached. If for some reason the invite doesn’t open, just click here to view it online.

We would be delighted if you were able to make it.

To register yourself or others please email me the names, email address and contact number to nepjustice@presprone.com OR call me directly on 01 416 6122 (on Tuesdays before 12pm and Fridays all day) OR register yourself directly on Eventbrite here before the 14th of April.

I would appreciate it very much if you can also share the invite widely. You can also suggest individuals and groups you think this event would be great to pass on to.

Finally, if you intend to attend the event, I was asked to ask you to read Fratelli Tutti Chapter 2 as the keynote speech will be based on that. For easy access I am attaching it here and its guide.

I look forward to hearing from you or to hosting you on the 17th April!

Kind regards and have a blessed Easter!
…….
